I skated in my youth and recently started again in my late 20’s. I have used various knee pads and I have always had the issue of them sliding down my legs and not staying In place. I could never trust my other knee pads. But I recently got these and I love them. They actually stay in place and I can trust falling to my knees. These are also very padded which is great. And I love that I can put these on once I get to the park. My other knee pads I had to slip on before putting my shoes on. I highly recommend these for vert skateboarders. I am 5 11” 175lbs, and I got the mediums. They are great, maybe a bit tight.My daughter is 13 and is a skateboarder. We thought we’d try these pads since she does bowl skating and wanted quality pads for knee sliding. We didn’t know that these would be quite big and got a medium instead of a small. My daughter is 5’6 and is skinny so these were very thick over her knees. In terms of actual skating, and comfortability, my daughter says these are very comfy and will protect you from your hardest fall. The price may be overwhelming but it’s worth it if you don’t want bruises knees and bad falls.Fit wellComfortableBought these after I blew my knee out skating with my 6 year old son. Me and him are the only ones with pads at the park, but I can be more aggressive knowing I can fall with out hurting myself.No pads will ever be as good as Pro-Designed but for the skater on a budget they're ace!These are the best pads out there, but they have a specific purpose. They are built for skating vert. When you bail you don’t feel a thing. Just slide on your knees to a stop and try again. They are not comfortable for walking around, but that’s not what they are designed for.I needed park pads.No doubt they slide awesome on bails.No doubt they offer ultimate protection.BUT they are so bulky you can't kick/push your board without them hitting each other.If you only ride vert or are severely bow legged, great pads.I ride pools and sk8 parks, pad protects well but they dig into my shin.Perfect for skating ?I waited a bit to review these but I can say they are well worth the money. I was wearing protech knee pads before this and bailed on a mini ramp directly on my left knee. The result was like I wasn't even wearing a knee pad. The protechs didn't help and were pinching my leg. These 187 killer pads have been great after my last bail resulted in a month off my board with a small fracture and some liggy damage I began wearing these. The wrap in the back of the pad fits tight but does not pinch or rub like the protech ones. Protection is amazing. I have fallen on my knees while wearing these and even while I was worried since my injury/recovery there was no damage to my healing knee. Look I'm a 40 year old skater with a bad knee and can't take another bail with inferior pads on. With these in I don't have to worry about that and can just skate. En la foto se ven las 187 tamaño XL comparando con rodilleras amateur tamaño L y las hace parecer coderas.Debido a su tamaño sí me da la impresión de que el enfoque de uso es casi exclusivamente para skateparks/rampas porque la mayor comodidad se experimentará con las piernas ligeramente flexionadas (patineta, skate agresivo) y tal vez no se sentirá tan cómodo para patinaje recreativo de largas distancias.Una parte que sí es super disfrutable es que el tipo de broche de mariposa permite ponerse o quitarse las rodilleras sin necesidad de quitarse tenis/patines, y el uso de velcro nivel industrial hace que sea super firme el agarre.Perfect for vert and bowl which you may knee slide a lot. Not suitable for flat ground tricks and uncomfortable for cruising in my opinion, since it limits your knee mobility. For protection, this is probably the best knee pad out there. Highly recommend wearing the 187 kill pad knee gaskets inside. The gaskets will absorb most of the sweat so you can just wash them instead of the pad. I ordered medium following the size chart but its very tight, I can't even tape the inside strap together. I then ordered one size up, Large instead of medium, and wear it with the knee gaskets. It fits very well. It may be difficult to strap at first but I think it will stretch out after wearing them a few times.Es la primera vez que compro rodilleras para practicar skateboarding, elegí esta marca porque es la que usan varios profesionales de vert, no puedo decir otra cosa más que estoy satisfecho con la compra, la construcción tiene mucha calidad, ofrece la opción para cambiar el pad cuando sea necesario.
