This is a great pad; I own this pad: Durable, Reversible 8' X 10' Premium Grip(TM) Rug Pad for Hard Surfaces and Carpet as well, and the Sphinx Oriental Weavers, while more expensive, is worth it. While thickness and construction appear very very similar, the cushioning is softer, noticeable under foot. I have both under large wool rugs on wood floors + there is no issue with rug slipping on either, as you would expect.
